TBA QC Application — Large Clinical Laboratory Equipment Manufacturer

Desktop QC application connected to the TOSHIBA TBA-120FR analyzer — centralising patient results, Westgard rule compliance, and Levey-Jennings monitoring in a single dashboard for clinical labs.

Project Overview

TropLabs deployed a desktop-based QC application for Large Clinical Laboratory Equipment Manufacturer, integrated directly with the TOSHIBA TBA-120FR clinical chemistry analyzer. The solution addresses a core operational need in diagnostic labs: accessing QC and patient test data in a structured, compliant format without disrupting live analyzer operations. Configured for the lab's specific chemistries, the application applies Westgard multi-rules to flag QC failures in real time, generates Levey-Jennings plots for trend analysis, and consolidates patient test results into a central dashboard with statistical summaries — enabling faster review cycles and more confident reporting. Role-based access separates admin and technician functions, ensuring clear accountability and controlled data visibility. Built-in backup and restore capabilities protect against data loss and simplify recovery in regulated environments where audit trails and data integrity are non-negotiable.

Outcomes

Centralised QC and patient results dashboard with statistical analysis and Levey-Jennings plots enabling faster compliance review; defined admin and technician roles with controlled access reducing audit risk; and backup/restore capabilities protecting against data loss and supporting regulatory compliance.
